Title:  Senior Director, Possibly Vice President

General Location: Texas or Pennsylvania

Background

Artificial Intelligence is fueling the growth of firms that supply energy to Data Centers.

This client is a pioneer in the field.

Position reports to an extremely knowledgeable exec who has personally structured hundreds of power transactions in his career.

This is a hybrid role, combining structuring with business development to sophisticated clients.

Travel: Up to 50% travel.

Remote work: Reporting Location is either Texas or Pennsylvania.  Remote work is possible for outstanding candidates.

 Principal Duties

 Originate and execute structured power transactions including:

• Power purchase/sales agreements;

• Other complex transactions.

Also, be responsible for creating and implementing a market strategy for the business.  This will include: 

• developing new strategic relationships;

• expanding existing relationships;

• expanding product structures.

Oversee deal process.

Identify process improvements.

 Relevant Skills and Experience Desired

 Minimum 8+ years experience in the energy trading and marketing sector, dealing with structured energy transactions.

Experience in delivering commercial solutions and understanding key value drivers in the energy and renewables sector.

The ability to quickly identify where value and risks are in potential transactions coupled with the judgement to enhance value while mitigating risk.

High level of comfort with ambiguous circumstances  yet results and deadline-oriented.

Demonstrated track record of successfully dealing with both internal and external collaborators.

Managing negotiations pertaining to complex structured transactions and the team of people required in order to successfully land and execute these types of opportunities.
